Allan P. Seckel
Chair Allan is a Vancouver resident and served as Deputy Attorney General in the provincial government, and later as a Deputy Minister and Head of the BC Public Service. He currently serves on a number of boards, including Covenant House Vancouver and the TELUS Vancouver Community Board, and is Chief Executive Officer for Doctors of BC.

Joy MacPhail
Vice-Chair Joy is a Vancouver resident, and served as a member of the BC Legislative Assembly for 14 years, holding a number of cabinet portfolios and leading the opposition for four years. She is currently Vice-Chair of Adler University and serves on the boards of the Centre for the Study of Democratic Institutions and Face the World Foundation. She is also owner and former Chair of OUTtv.

Iain J.S. Black
Iain is a Coquitlam resident, and served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly for six years in the riding of Port Moody-Coquitlam, holding a number of cabinet portfolios. He currently serves on a variety of economic boards & councils across Metro Vancouver, and is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade.

Gavin McGarrigle
Gavin is a Surrey resident a co-founder of the Better Transit and Transportation Coalition, a broad-based group drawn from labour, business, student and environmental groups. He is also the BC Area Director for Unifor, Canada’s largest private sector union, which represents approximately 28,000 members in B.C. including workers employed in operations and maintenance at Coast Mountain Bus Company.

Jennifer Clarke
Jennifer is a Vancouver resident and served as a Vancouver City Councillor for nine years. Over the years she has served on the boards of TransLink, Coast Mountain Bus Company, and Metro Vancouver, and is currently a board member of the Prince Rupert Port Authority. She is the President of JPC Strategies.

Michael McKnight
Michael is a North Vancouver resident and President and Chief Executive Officer of the United Way of the Lower Mainland – a role he has held for 13 years. He previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Big Brothers and Sisters of Canada, and has a background in human resources. He serves on the boards of Provincial Early Childhood Development BC and Leadership Vancouver.

Harj Dhaliwal
Harj is a Surrey resident and has had a number of lead roles in youth soccer including his current role as chair of the South Fraser District Association. He is Associate Dean of Marketing Management at British Columbia Institute of Technology and has held marketing and business development leadership roles in the private sector.

Elizabeth Model
Elizabeth is a Burnaby resident and is a board member of the Better Transit and Transportation Coalition. She is also Chief Executive Officer for the Downtown Surrey Business Improvement Association – a role she has held since 2009. Her prior positions included General Manager for a large land development company with a diverse portfolio of businesses, including a golf course and marina.

Paul R. Landry
Paul is a Langley resident and began his career working for the Saskatchewan Highway Traffic Board and later the province’s public auto insurance program. In 1994 he became President and Chief Executive Officer of the BC Trucking Association – a role he held for 17 years. He is a Board member of the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, and is currently Principal of PRL Consulting.

Bruce Rozenhart
Bruce is a Richmond resident and is Principal Consultant with Counterpoint Communications – a role he has held for the past 25 years. He also is past Executive Director of the Council of Resource Community Mayors of BC, and is a member of the BC Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Advisory Committee for the City of Richmond.

Graham McCargar
Graham is a Maple Ridge resident and President of MC Freight Systems, a full-service logistics company, offering international freight forwarding and freight brokerage services. He purchased the Maple Ridge-headquartered business from his father Ken in 2007, and works with small- to medium-sized companies across Canada, USA, and around the world.

Philip (Pip) Steele
Pip Steele is a Delta resident and serves as Vice-Chair of the Delta Police Board. He is also now working as a consultant, after retiring in 2016 from a career as a Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Life Underwriter and Certified Financial Consultant.

Lori MacDonald
Lori is a Vancouver resident and a candidate for a Masters of Urban Studies with a research focus on regional mobility. She is also Executive Director of the Emily Carr Students’ Union – a role she has held for 10 years – and acted as a leading advocate for the U-Pass BC program, which provides affordable transit to 150,000 post-secondary students.

Grace H. Wong
Grace is a Vancouver resident and the Senior Advisor International to the Provost and Vice President-Academic at the University of British Columbia. She has extensive experience working with partners in other countries and developing international programs for degree study, faculty development and executive development. She is currently the Chair of the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Board of Directors.
